In late March 2022, Google announced that it would be sunsetting Google Universal Analytics (the platform most marketers still use) on July 1, 2023, forcing users to adopt Google Analytics 4 (GA4). In addition to deprecating the Universal platform, Google will also be removing access to Universal properties’ historical data, meaning that marketers will lose years’ worth of valuable analytics data in this migration. In her session, Janet will share what you need to be doing now to prepare for this forced transition, including: creating a GA4 migration plan, setting up GA4 to mirror your current Universal setup, effectively archiving existing Universal historical data for future use, and making the final migration to GA4.
